Tilberthwaite Ave, ConistonWent here after climbing the old man! Food was great and the nice cold pint was great after walking mountains! Reasonable price too, friendly staff. We will be back!

Swallows & Amazons restaurant and cafe at Bank Ground Farm
Bank Ground Farm East of the Lake, ConistonSuch a surprise to find such a gemstone close, so close, to Lake Coniston. And what an amazing place. No wonder Arthur Ransome of Swallows and Amazons fame, stayed here. What history there is to take on - the Batty family and their farm development over the years gone by and to come. The welcome, the food, the coffee (the best around!) and hospitality is so different and yet so memorably of a high standard. We shall take back happy memories to New Zealand.

Our Plaice
Lake Rd, ConistonFish n chips as a treat, wandered down to coniston shore and ate them with a beer - fantastic! Fish cooked fresh, lovely thick piece of haddock and great chips - highly recommend.

The Terrace Coffee House and Restaurant
Coach House East of Lake, ConistonA very welcoming cafe, staff were great, nice and warm in winter or have your coffee outside with the great view. The entrance is down the right side of the building. Huge range of amazing cakes. Will stop in when I am cycling around Coniston lake.

Torver, ConistonA lovely long weekend trip with my partner. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely be back. Friendly, excellent food, good choice of drinks, great service, characterful cozy rooms and good value. Great location for walks. Fabulous breakfast. Hope to return soon!

1 Yewdale Rd, ConistonWe had Sunday lunch here during our stay in Coniston. Firstly, all the staff were extremely friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome.
The food was fantastic, especially the pork loin which was moist and there plenty of it! The veg was equally as good and much getter then the usual pub veg. We had creamy mash, roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding, cauliflower cheese topped with crispy onions, parsnip, mashed carrot and swede, Brussels sprouts, peas and cabbage. All for £22 and delicious! Definitely recommended.
