Heidi’s Cafe

Room 6, although up two flights of narrow stairs, is lovely. Large windows, nice bath (shower and tub) and spiral stair up to bedroom and roof top terrace. Cozy, quiet, romantic.

Lucia's Coffee + Bakehouse

It's a gem in Grasmere!! The staff are polite and welcoming to customers. Their sausage roll is really yummy, the mocha and hot chocolate are exceptionally rich with pretty coffee art on it?

Baldry's Grasmere

After a hike around Rydal Water and Grasmere, we walked to the beautiful cafe, Baldry's Tea Room. We sat out in the warming sun. We both had a delicious rich, smooth, butternut squash soup with sage, accompanied by brown bread. I also had a sandwich of bread and cheddar cheese and chutney. The food was delicious! The setting was pretty, the service was excellent.

Mathilde’s Café

Wow! Such a great place! Ideally located, with a great menu and an art corner. One of the staff was not really nice and unfortunately she was at the one taking order but the rest of the staff was lovely. Food and drinks were tasty. Definitely recommend the place

After a very rainy walk to Easedale Tarn we trudged up to LanCragg to refuel.
Two decent pizzas, hot coffee and cakes later we were refreshed and warmer.
Lovely cafe, not a great deal of space inside but benches outside when the weather is kinder.
Great service but we only had a choice of 4 pizzas si really a snack bar.
Coffee was perfect

Harley's Bistro & Café Bar

A lovely spot outside for a drink and food. We were met with a warm and friendly welcome and enjoyed a couple of pints from a local brewery and some homemade sweet treats were purchased, some for us and some for the family back home! The atmosphere is relaxed and a welcome escape from the hustle and bustle of Grasmere in August.

Tweedies Restaurant

Ended up here by chance when looking for a dog friendly dinner. Had the braised ox cheek - really nice homely food, triple cooked chips were lovely too. Very friendly service, nice cider, tables were packed when we left. Just what we were looking for, would definitely return.

Lewis's Bistro

A really nice bistro in Grasmere. Lamb rump was excellent and chicken supreme also lovely. Good atmosphere. Service was good and prices were ok. Booking is recommended and can be done via their website or by phone.

Grasmere Tea Gardens

I recommend visiting to sit outside by the river. The water is beautiful and clear and you can see the cute bridge and church.

We visited for coffee and cake. Everything we ordered was tasty.

Staff were friendly and service was quick.

It was quite warm under the plastic awening because it was a very hot day.
