We had Christmas lunch at the Bell Inn with friends. The restaurant was a very nice space and not too noisy so you could easily chat over lunch. It also has a fabulous view across the valley. The food was delicious, the staff friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend it.

We just had Sunday Roast here and it was probably the best Sunday roast i have had whilst eating out. We both had Lamb and everything was piping hot and cooked the way Sunday roasts should be cooked. Portion size was just right and im i big eater. This placed is now marked as our favourite place for a roast for sure. Think we will have to pop back in the week for a mid week meal next. Staff were very friendly and polite. Cheers

We were lucky enough to find this lovely pub on Saturday after a great dog walk. The food was fantastic so we returned on Sunday to do a circular walk with our dog. We had probably the best Sunday lunch we have ever had out. Jane and her team were very welcoming especially to our dog. Couldn't recommend this pub enough.

Funky pub and just around the corner from our holiday property, Rose Cottage.

The staff were super friendly and attentive.

I love a simple food menu and they did THE Best burgers and pizza you could ask for.

My kids loved the pub and the pub dogs were so friendly.

Would definitely recommend a visit if in the area.

The food and atmosphere is amazing here. The menu usually consists of 2 options, always at least 1 veg choice. They produce healthy, delicious and filling meals and it's pay as you can for meals. They're is a cafe and bar with set prices as well. It's a real community venue and I've really enjoyed my visits.

Popped in on a Tuesday night on the way home after we had been shopping, it was a horrible wet night out side but it was warm and welcoming inside Sorrento Restaurant. \nIt was fairly busy with a big table for birthday but the staff were on top of things - friendly and attentive despite being busy. \nWe both had steaks which were out of this world and shared a garlic bread with cheese (do not miss out on this or their pizzas they are lovely) we didn't have to wait long for our food which was even better (as we were starving by the time we got there!)\n\nWe had also recently been on a sunday evening 14 of us for a birthday and even then the food was incredible. We all had deserts that evening as well.\n\nWhether you are popping in as a couple or with all the family the welcome in Sorrento and the food is well worth a visit!!! \n\nWe will be back!

An amazing café. Super accommodating for a large group with youngsters. Really busy, looks small but don't be fooled... plenty of extra room upstairs including small play area. Staff were efficient, friendly, polite and knowledgeable. Food was exceptional and prompt! Superb range to choose from too. Everyone loved it. Will return and recommend without doubt. It's worth visiting Stroud just for this little gem! GO THERE, if not just for the Chai Latte!! ?

What a fantastic place to stay and eat.
The operation is split between two different people but seems to work seamlessly. Both entities have the same eye for detail and professionalism making for a great place to stay and dine.
The Room : Check in is round the back and is via a key cupboard (standard practice in a lot of establishments these days) we stayed in the 1970`s styled room which was fitted out with all the things you remembered from the 70`s even a record player with records and a 70`s wire magazine rack complete with magazines of the period. In addition to the styling the room was very spacious and the bed lovely and comfortable. There were lots of power sockets so no problem charging etc, the heating worked and it was very quiet. Situated opposite the churchyard traffic noise was minimal. All in all a great room.

The Breakfast : This is served from 8.00am to 9.30am which is not a huge window and is prepared by the hotel staff, therefore does not have the usual full English cooked food options but does feature a wide variety of very tasty alternatives , Ham, Salamis, Cheeses, Chutney, Fresh Fruit, Yoghurt, Marmalade and Jams, Toast, Pastries, Cereals and Cakes. All very tasty and very edible.

The Restaurant : This is run extremely professionally by another couple who are so friendly. The food is of the highest standard and features a variety of dishes on both a standard menu and a specials board. All the food is locally sourced and delicious.
Wine choices are also top notch.
Note the place gets very busy so bookings are recommended.
The food was so good the first night we ate there again on the second night.

I would highly recommend both the rooms and the restaurant and will DEFINATELY be back.
Well done everyone for providing a great experience and for maintaining such a high level of cleanliness and professionalism.

We tried the banquet night tonight. A starter, main course, rice or Nan, side for 15.95. The food was excellent. Tried dishes that were new to me. I need mild dishes and sometimes they aren't. Tried a new lamb dish that was lovely and Hasan and his team looked after us very well. Highly recommended.
