Have eaten here previously and both visits have been great but the Sunday roast was top notch - everything was cooked to perfection including the buttery soft, pink beef. Lovely wine selection too. Service was brilliant - staff checked in during each course to check everything was OK - attentive but not overbearing. It appeared that most, if not all, of the tables were booked and the restaurant was busy, however the service and pace of dishes being served (and plates subsequently being cleared from the table) was faultless. No delays but also not rushed - a lovely relaxing end to the weekend! Just a really fabulous visit ?

Tesco Cafe
Station Rd, ThirskI bought my mum 2 sprays of carnations on the 6th November 2019 and she has told me that they still are looking gorgeous and have not wilted to date. What a great purchase they were. My mum is thrilled as they are her favourite flowers and can't believe I got them in a store. Well done Tescos and thank you. Susan Robson

Husband had ham, egg and chips and I had the homemade chilli - both were absolutely delicious and good value for money. The whole menu sounded lovely and a lovely Friday lunchtime atmosphere too. We will certainly return next time we’re back in the area and would recommend. Just gutted we were so excited to tuck in I forgot to take a food photo!

Tea Time Cafe, 87 Market Pl, ThirskI visited today with my boss to use the co-working space, and it was the perfect midway location for us. The space was well equipped, comfortable, and ideal for getting work done. The staff were incredibly welcoming and checked in on us to make sure we had everything we needed. Ordering drinks and food was easy, and everything we tried was delicious. We’ll definitely be back—thank you!

79-81 Market Pl, ThirskCalled in the book shop on a busy, warm day visiting Thirsk Decided the menu look tempting so stayed for a cream tea and a savoury tea. Sat outside in the lovely garden. One of the best cheese scones I’ve had in a long time.

Horsebreakers Arms Inn
Hutton Sessay, ThirskThe barman is an absolute gent. Massive Grimsby supporter which nearly made me drop a star, the man can't understand any other accent than Yorkshire as well which almost made him lose a star.
But his charm and warmness came through and cemented the five stars. Keep up the good work my man!
The pub is an absolute a credit to the caravan club, bring owners together whilst the products served are very good as well.

The Watermill Bar and Grill
Carlton Miniott, ThirskWe dined here lastnight for the first time whilst visiting woodland Lakes. We met Rob earlier in the day in the sports bar and received a lovely warm welcome on both occasions. We would definitely recommend this lovely restaurant... we received great service, lovely food and will definitely be back. Thank you Rob and team for looking after us.

Stacey was so nice and friendly and made us really welcome, gave us information about the area which was very useful
We had 2 meals there, cooked by the chef Steve both were delicious and very good value

3 Back Ln, Sowerby, ThirskAbsolutely the best fish and chips we have ever had. Delicious hand cut chips fried in proper oil that gives the chips a fantastic flavour and crunch. The fish was cooked to perfection with no hint of undercooked batter. Gold star to the staff who welcome you with a smile and friendly service. We will definately return again.

They had a singer on. It was a great night. The cost of a pint is more than Wetherspoons but not much more. Well worth it. ?

30 Market Pl, ThirskCalled in whilst visiting Thirsk to get something for lunch. We had the deli sausage roll plus ham salad roll and a cheese and ham roll. Wow! One of the best sausage rolls I've ever had and proper thick cut ham in the roll. Definitely worth calling in.

Busby Stoop Inn Busby Stoop Road, ThirskWe went here for the first time tonight for their Banquet Deal. There was so much food for the price and the flavours were phenomenal. The whole place felt cosy and warm, and all the staff were very friendly, especially with us having 2 young children with us. We will definitely be back on a Wednesday or Sunday, thank you so much.

25-27 Market Pl, ThirskPopped in today for lunch had delicious vegan bap with humus and roasted veg and a bowl of hearty home made vegetable soup. Was really delicious.
The food other diners were having all looked beautifully presented and good portion sizes.
Staff very friendly and efficient and facilities also very clean. Can highly recommend and would definitely return when next visiting thirsk.
