We stopped on impulse for lunch ( available on Saturday) at under £16 per head it is a delicious bargain and beautifully presented. The starter, main course and rice all come together on one plate, just right for a lunchtime treat. The food was delicious, beautifully garnished with salad. I had spare ribs and stir fried beef with oyster sauce, my husband had stuffed chicken wing and sweet and sour chicken. Both came with rice. Friendly attentive service.\nWe’ve since been back for dinner, just as delicious.

We visited for my daughter’s Birthday with some of her friends. The location is perfect, right in town, near a big car park. The atmosphere was great, it was Saturday night but not too busy. Food was delicious and they were happy for us to bring our own birthday cake, they even bought it out and provided the knife and napkins. Thank you pizza cafe ? We visited today. The place is relaxed , peaceful and has a good vibe. Great menu too with very reasonable pricing. Smelled amazing . Unfortunately our son who has a disability had a self induced accident and cut his head (was fine soon after). The owner was so kind to him and helpful. He brought over a first aid kit. Really appreciated it. We will be back!

Arrived without booking, was able to get a table outside without an issue for 9 people. Used the app to order, so the kids could play in the play area

All meals were absolutely lovely, and the service was great too

The food was exquisite. Delicate flavours with richness and depth. Honestly couldn't fault any of the main dishes. The service was friendly and the atmosphere great, even at 6pm on a Thursday evening. My only reservation is that, despite eating three courses, we came away hungry. The oxtail with chick peas was a classic, hearty dish, but the portions very modest and the other dishes were similarly sized. Good bread to support the mains would have helped a lot, but at £5 a portion (we had some with the starters), one felt... well, a little short- changed to be honest. A shame. But do try it for yourself - there's much to enjoy.

Been using Bollywood Spice since I moved to Newton Abbot from Exeter, 6 years ago, and after trying every Indian takeaway we found this one to be the best ? The food is awesome!! The staff also knew me which was surprising since I only had deliveries till we dined in one night, taking advantage of their great instore offer at the time. I would ? % recommend Bollywood Spice to anyone and even the fussy neighbours enjoyed it when we dined in ?? Amazing food!!! We have the pit burgers and some loaded fries and you could taste the ingredients were well sourced and cooked perfectly. Great outdoor area and kept warm with them lighting a wood fire! Didn’t go inside but looked very cosy.

We had a family lunch, last month, celebrating my son’s Birthday, a visit for lunch with my daughter yesterday and again for lunch, today with a friend. As usual, staff were very attentive and professional, whilst having time for a bit of banter, (which I appreciate). Today, my friend had a carvery and I (not being overly hungry) had the crispy belly pork tacos, which were superb! Thank you, for always delivering consistently high quality food and service. Passing through we had the best pub food here we have had for as long as we can remember. The quality of ingredients was evident . My husband had the Thai buffet ( Wednesday night) which could not be faulted and was freshly cooked and plentiful. I had rump steak cooked to med perfectly and with fresh delicately prepared veg. The homemade mayonnaise served on request was devine! I wish we lived locally to here. The prices are very fair considering the quality of the food and fresh ingredients. Well done to this establishment , definitely worth 5 star.

Without a doubt the BEST INDIAN Restaurant in DEVON. Visited with my wife on 18-08-2025 for dinner. Kind staff and excellent selection of curries. Made us feel very welcome and went the 'extra mile' to make us feel comfortable and relaxed. \nSuperb Chicken Tikka starter. Kerala King Prawns with coconut completed the meal.\nAfter dinner we received warm towels and a complimentary 'Baileys and Sambuca'\nThe only restaurant I know of where 'Tamarind Sauce' is served with the spicy onions and poppadoms. Tamarind sauce is my favourite sauce. You must try it!\nMint Chocolates and Orange Segments came with the bill.\nI cannot praise this restaurant enough. Thank you so much for a wonderful meal.\nHighly recommended for every one. Reasonably priced meal for two - £50.

Just moved into the area and thought to give Bovey fish bar a try and boy, I am glad I did. The chaps in there a top notch and so friendly even offered me some home made tartar sauce. Which was lovely btw. Chips very nice, fish on the smaller side but packed full of flavour and the batter was top notch! You can tell they frequently change the frying oil! Great village pub, large car park, outside tables and lovely cosy pub. Bonus of being really dog friendly. Food at lunch time was gorgeous, specials board and full menu, chose the cottage pie with a bubble and squeak topping served with roast potatoes and three veg. Generous portions and yummy. Homemade cakes and coffee available as well as all the normal selection of alcohol.

This establishment has always been my go-to Chinese restaurant in the area. Despite having relocated, we occasionally visit and are pleased to find that the quality of the food remains exceptional. The flavors are consistently fresh and delicious, making it difficult to find a better Chinese dining experience elsewhere. We had a salt and pepper box to see what the hype was about. So much flavor.

Greedily asked for a slice of a decadent chocolatey fudge cake.. couldn’t finish it so we are taking it home!

This lady really knows her coffee, we had to have a second in one sitting. Perfect freshly squeezed orange juice, you could tell it was completely fresh and hand made, but thick and juicy. The cakes are divine and fresh. Only areas for improvement is more detail to the menu as it didn't really sell the food well so ended up going for the basics, and would have preferred the beans to be heinz. Those are the only things i would improve on! Highly recommend.
