15 Narrowgate, AlnwickBooked for a Friday evening. We were told there was no availability for 7 so booked for 6. Annoying as most tables were empty when we left. Nonetheless the food was good, service great and wine was delicious. The poppadoms were really fresh and crisp, which you don't often get. Would definitely go back if we were in Alnwick.

Haven Hill, Craster, AlnwickWonderful food and a genial atmosphere. Don’t be in a rush: it’s busy, the food is well worth waiting for and is freshly prepped and cooked and DO chat to the staff. They’re rushed off their feet but still love to banter and advise. I won’t be able to get back too often but I know where I’m going to eat and drink when I do return.

15 Clayport St, AlnwickLovely people, great pizzas, altogether a great experience. Every week during term time we get a 12” Margarita pizza when our grandson stays and the friendliness and quality of the food is brilliant, always polite, friendly and welcoming people with a fantastic menu and food.
I’d like to say thank you to everyone there as they make a fast food run a pleasure not a chore.

Nice atmosphere and decor. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Cannot eat / order food in the beer garden - indoor seating for food only. Staff very allergen aware. Gluten free menu - items served with a flag. They also flag any items that are vegan due to food preparation and handling. Food was too nice ands I was too hungry to take any pictures.
You can enter from the front or the back (near beer garden).

We were back yesterday after a time away from the area.
Great food, the warmest welcome. And the nicest and happiest staff you could wish for. That's why we always call in more than once when we visit the area.
And if you have a pet dog or two, they get the same welcome and attention.
The soups constantly change/rotate. All are exceptional and varied. One example is their Hungarian Mushroom soup. We tried it yesterday with a cheese scone. Awesome !
Try it, love it. We do.
The years pass slowly but the Rocking Horse Cafe and Gallery just gets better. The only drawback is you can only give 5 stars. If we had our way we would like to fill a wheelbarrow with stars and attribute them all to the Rocking Horse team. Excellent and exceptional.

Breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice and good service.
We were blessed with fabulous weather so enjoyed pizza and drinks in the beer garden. The pub was very cosy and there was a great atmosphere.

Came across this little gem while having a wonderful around Alnwick and i can not fault it, the Steak Pie n chips with veg was beautiful, Minced and Dumplings were spot on and staff were so friendly. Price's are very fair/average and Cafe is clean and tidy. Only one thing is there is no toilets in the cafe as there is Public Toilets just over the road.
I would definitely rate this cafe as a typical English cafe with Homemade Food which is very tasty and good size portions..

Alnwick Station, AlnwickAt £17 for a burger with some crisps (not chips!), it's pricey especially given that a pound of that was spent for four very mean slices of jalapeno. That said the burger was very good quality and cooked to perfection. Their Mac and Cheese is good as well and better value.

2 Hotspur Pl, AlnwickWandered in whilst strolling around alnwick and were really pleasantly surprised by the warm welcoming atmosphere. We tried a few of the local ales and the bar staff were helpful in recommending which ones to try according to our preferences. We managed to get a seat, the bar isn't very big but we invited another couple over to share the table as it seemed like others were doing similar. Great atmosphere would have liked it to be my local!

The Origami Café & Gift Shop
5 Narrowgate, AlnwickWe live a few miles away but we never miss the chance to visit Origami whenever we are in Alnwick. Delicious coffee and cakes always served with a smile. Judy is so bubbly, positive and is obviously so passionate about her business. This is a wonderful, cute and dog friendly space with outside seating area and we would recommend it to everyone. The Ale Gate
25 Bondgate Without, AlnwickStayed locally and dropped in here quite a few times to sample the local ales. The bar staff were really lovely and helpful in helping us select drinks according to our preferences.
The ale house has a different feel to it compared to traditional style pubs-more like a cafe than pub. The large windows make it bright and welcoming with a clear view in from outside that draws you in. Inside the seating and tables are more cafe style giving it a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. A great spot if you are looking for something a little different from the usual pub setting.
