Hot plates/ hot food it's no wonder it was so busy on a rainy Monday evening. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend 100%. It's up there with the best Indian food I've had

The Chocolate Spa
1 Fenkle St, AlnwickFirst time today I visited for a milk hot chocolate. It was absolutely delicious..I cannot describe how absolutely gorgeous it was.
My daughter chose a banana milkshake and that was equally amazing. We were served with a love truffle which was a lovely touch to enjoy with our drinks.
I will most definitely visit again.

9 Clayport St, AlnwickWe’re visiting Alnwick on holiday and decided to try Pizza Royale - so glad we did! The deep dish pizza was absolutely delicious - light, fluffy, and full of flavor. The toppings were fresh and really tasty. Delivery to our hotel was fast, and the gentleman who brought our order was friendly and polite, which made the experience even better.
Highly recommend Pizza Royale to anyone in the area. Great food and genuinely great service!

Nice atmosphere and decor. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Cannot eat / order food in the beer garden - indoor seating for food only. Staff very allergen aware. Gluten free menu - items served with a flag. They also flag any items that are vegan due to food preparation and handling. Food was too nice ands I was too hungry to take any pictures.
You can enter from the front or the back (near beer garden).

Where do I start - wow, absolutely stunning! My partner had a naga and due to myself having a serious nut allergy, I was made a chicken tikka masala minus coconut and almond and it was delicious. All staff members were very polite, friendly and very accommodating. If we were local, this would be our regular curry house. I highly recommend✨

The food came out impressively quickly, and every dish was fresh, delicious, and well presented. Service was outstanding throughout the evening — attentive, friendly, and efficient without ever feeling rushed.
The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, making it a perfect setting for a large group gathering. The team genuinely couldn’t have done any more for us and went above and beyond to make sure everyone was happy and looked after.
I would highly recommend this restaurant!

We were back yesterday after a time away from the area.
Great food, the warmest welcome. And the nicest and happiest staff you could wish for. That's why we always call in more than once when we visit the area.
And if you have a pet dog or two, they get the same welcome and attention.
The soups constantly change/rotate. All are exceptional and varied. One example is their Hungarian Mushroom soup. We tried it yesterday with a cheese scone. Awesome !
Try it, love it. We do.
The years pass slowly but the Rocking Horse Cafe and Gallery just gets better. The only drawback is you can only give 5 stars. If we had our way we would like to fill a wheelbarrow with stars and attribute them all to the Rocking Horse team. Excellent and exceptional.

Low Newton-by-the-Sea, AlnwickProbably my favourite pub in the UK (and I'm saying that as someone who owns a pub ?). We live in Derbyshire, and still try to make it here as often as possible! On a sunny day, it's bliss sitting out front in the sea air, with a freshly picked crab sandwich and a pint. On colder days it's cosy and delightful inside. Fabulous food and great beer too, brewed on site (the Sea Coal in particular is a fantastic stout).
Being in such an ideal location - just off the beach and an easy stop off along the coastal path - does mean that it gets very busy. Definitely book well ahead of you want to come for food in the evening, and it's even worth arriving early-ish to grab table for lunch.
Very dog friendly.

22 Northumberland St, Alnmouth, AlnwickStayed here for two nights, Lovely room, bed very comfortable and nice plump pillows. Despite being directly above the bar it was very quiet in the room.
Breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice and good service.
We were blessed with fabulous weather so enjoyed pizza and drinks in the beer garden. The pub was very cosy and there was a great atmosphere.

Came across this little gem while having a wonderful around Alnwick and i can not fault it, the Steak Pie n chips with veg was beautiful, Minced and Dumplings were spot on and staff were so friendly. Price's are very fair/average and Cafe is clean and tidy. Only one thing is there is no toilets in the cafe as there is Public Toilets just over the road.
I would definitely rate this cafe as a typical English cafe with Homemade Food which is very tasty and good size portions..

Alnwick Station, AlnwickAt £17 for a burger with some crisps (not chips!), it's pricey especially given that a pound of that was spent for four very mean slices of jalapeno. That said the burger was very good quality and cooked to perfection. Their Mac and Cheese is good as well and better value.

The Shepherds Rest
Alnwick Moor, AlnwickHad sunday lunch today and what a lovely meal we had with a nice helping of pork with fresh veg , yorkshire pudding , mash ,turnip , parsnips , stuffing , and sausage on plate and a gravy boat ,staff were pleasant and service swift , not forgetting a great pint of Belhaven best.Thankyou and hope to return soon.

2 Hotspur Pl, AlnwickWandered in whilst strolling around alnwick and were really pleasantly surprised by the warm welcoming atmosphere. We tried a few of the local ales and the bar staff were helpful in recommending which ones to try according to our preferences. We managed to get a seat, the bar isn't very big but we invited another couple over to share the table as it seemed like others were doing similar. Great atmosphere would have liked it to be my local!
