50 Fore St, TotnesMy husband and I have been to Gather on several occasions and have never been disappointed. The food is utterly delicious and is always presented beautifully. We have several dietary requirements in our family but nothing has ever been too much trouble for the chefs and we have always been well looked after. I would like to give a special mention to front of house member Poppy. She is friendly, polite, attentive and always has a smile on her face. She is also very knowledgeable on the menu and we can see how hard she works to give us a memorable evening. It's a joy to have her looking after us! Hopefully we will be visiting again soon!

Should come with plenty of vegetables be generous

Quality decorative items. I love this shop. I ordered these items previously in the sale but was then promoted to purchase the large wreath because there was an additional 10% extra off. Delivery was prompt it was almost next day delivery.

30 High St, TotnesI’ve eaten here a few times and it’s been brilliant every time. The food is great, and so is the atmosphere. We got massively let down by a restaurant tonight and didn’t think there was a chance of getting into Rumour at such short notice, but we were in luck.
As always the food was great but the staff were really amazing - accommodating, friendly and had a laugh too. Thanks for rescuing the evening and it was great to sit in a restaurant full of people with such a good energy - both staff and guests

Coronation Rd, TotnesOne of my favourite things about this branch of Morrisons is the large car park, all on one level & I feel safe (as much as anyone can be!) leaving my sports motorcycle parked in allocated bays for Motorcycles near the entrance. Large deli, good bakery, fresh fish & plenty of meat for us carnivores..

We had the beef, which came with Yorkshire Pudding, carrots red cabbage, potatoes and brocolli/leeks in cheese.
Absolutely delicious.
We didn't have a starter so we had space for dessert but when the time came, we didn't even have space for the apple crumble, which I was looking forward to.
It's all table service, wonderful, atmospheric ex-kitchens as dining hall. There's also a bar area. Great chatty ambience - not too loud!

The Plains, TotnesLovely restaurant set by the river in the charming town of Totnes, with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The service was a little chaotic at times and seemed slightly unpolished, but the staff were friendly, kind, and responsive. The food was good overall. The beef burger was well-prepared and generously portioned, while the mussels were decent, though a bit heavy on the garlic for our taste. The drinks selection was excellent, with a great variety on offer. I particularly enjoyed the Blue Moon, a Belgian white beer.

The food was amazing, quality beef and pork, with plenty of veg to go around 7 of us. We felt the price was quite high, before we ate, but afterwards felt it was well worth it! Everyone left full and happy! A great experience.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at the Coppa Dolla Inn, and I have to say, the homemade pies absolutely blew us away! We ordered the full Roast Chicken with stuffing and gravy pie, which came with a side of baguette, and a 2-in-1 pie featuring half cauliflower cheese and half Roast Chicken with stuffing and gravy—both were beautifully presented and tasted spot-on. The pies were hearty, flavorful, and exactly what I was craving—comfort food at its finest!
We were also impressed by the sides. The carrots, leeks, and red cabbage that came with the 2-in-1 pie complemented the dish perfectly. The care and attention to detail in the presentation and flavors were evident, and we couldn't help but appreciate the overall experience.
As a parent of a fussy 2-year-old, I was thrilled to see him devour the classic toad in the hole from the kids’ menu. It’s not often he finishes his meal, but the fact he enjoyed every bite really speaks volumes!
While we didn’t have room for dessert (although I’m regretting not trying the sticky toffee pudding or Coppa Mess after seeing them), everything we had was fantastic. A huge thank you to James for all his hard work in making these amazing pies and for serving us with a smile during the busy rush hour! We also want to give a special shout-out to the lady who served us at the bar (apologies for not catching your name)—your draft beer recommendation was spot on!
A quick note for future visitors: be sure to book in advance as walk-ins are rare due to how popular this place is. Parking is free on-site, and the pub itself has a wonderfully quirky, homely, and cozy vibe that adds to the overall charm.
Highly recommend this spot for anyone in search of a comforting, hearty meal with top-notch service!

St Peter's Quay, TotnesOur second visit here but under the new management since we last visited it well exceeded our expectations. Upon our we had a warm welcome from Oz who checked us in and briefed us on options. Our room No 5 was simply fabulous. Huge room with a bath in the bedroom. We did use it once and not only did it fill quickly it was lovely and hot. Bed and pillows perfect had great sleeps. Bathroom very large too. All tastefully decorated and furnished. Spotlessly clean. Biscuits and bottled water in the room daily. Breakfast was the best helped by the lovely smiling Jess. Nothing was too much trouble for her. Great asset to the team. Breakfast fantastic value as a resident as you could have whatever you wanted. Granola yoghurt honey particularly good as were the pancakes with crispy bacon. To be fair all the staff we encountered were the best. The only place I would stay and its location on the River Dart is unbeatable. Highly recommend.

The Sea Trout Inn
Staverton, TotnesI recently hosted a celebration lunch here for my parents 50th wedding anniversary. We were a group of 27 and the whole event went perfectly.
The Sea Trout team were welcoming and very helpful throughout. We organised a pre-order and the kitchen team provided a delicious menu that we all enjoyed. Personally I had the Pork Belly, which was cooked perfectly, soft and crispy and an amazing sticky toffee pudding.
Overall, a lovely celebration, everyone in attendance was super happy.

I can honestly say it was the best breakfast I've ever eaten, great portions (you certainly didn'tneed to eat lunch after this), quality food, accommodated my dietary needs. A385, Shinner's Bridge, Dartington, TotnesWe love to stop at this quirky little shop on the way to Paignton Zoo. Tonight we bought vegetarian/ vegan curries to take home. Honestly, the best curries we've had, the lime pickle was amazing and clearly homemade with no chemicals or additives, the only downside to this place is it's an hour away from where we live otherwise we would be here all of the time. The bad reviews must be from Brits who want chicken breasts in ketchup or something.

The Cott Inn
Cott Ln, Dartington, TotnesThis is one of the most Charming and welcoming accomodations we have been spending time in our Family Holidays . We had huge problems with a breakdown of a Rental car in Dartmoor and the White team and especially the Owner , Mark did everything to help . Furthermore he connected to a private Rent a car and informed us about the fantastic Dartington Estate . There is also a very conveniant Green Cafe Next to this Estate which is super great .
