Couldn't get a table anywhere in Dartmouth but the Ship Inn kitchen stayed open for us later than listed and bar staff couldn't have been more helpful or unflustered. Sat outside with views across the river. Lovely.

My partner and I shared the whole turbot which was cooked to perfection and served very elegantly by the staff.
The service and atmosphere created a dining experience that was thoroughly authentic, reflecting the local culture. Having dined here a while ago, I sadly can't remember the name of my waitress who was attentive, self-assured and was the cherry on top of our evening.

Nestled down the cobbled twists and turns or the small and beautiful streets of Dartmouth you’ll find Devon’s best kept secret. From the moment you walk in to be greeted with beaming smiles, smells of enticement/mystery and crisp, immaculate dressed staff, you know as you take your seat the next few hours will blow you away. As menus are delivered my eyes start to race across the page, filled with excitement & salivating at the words before me. we sat back to let Luca’s team do what they do best. (All the dishes we had are highlighted on the menu on the end picture) Kicking off with sour dough focaccia & Coppa - easily the best we’ve ever had! - Scallop, bisque and carrot kimchi blows our pallet wide open! Cookery perfection! - local Torbay lobster a trio which was out of this world fresh! - Chicken as moist as you could ever want, braised fennel, sausage and spinach was like being back in Tuscany! - hen of the woods a real favourite of mine, Parmesan cream and egg yolk was knock out! Last but not least La bœuf Now il be honest the beef fillet… My wife, in-fact everyone will admit I never order beef, steak or fillet when out. However when Luca told me about it’s his take on “new York deli style pastrami we were sold!! boy did it not disappoint!! This took us right back to that iconic state side staple! So good I couldn’t even photograph it quick enough. The wines we had were exceptional! It’s taken 5 years to get to see Luca this will not be the last time though. This is by far the best meal we’ve had in Devon, packed with flavour, style, heart and memories! We can not recommend it enough. A exceptional night, with exceptionally talented people. Thank you all.

27-29 Victoria Rd, Dartmouthcant believe it’s not busier, so less stars for atmosphere , but went with another couple so ok. Immaculately clean, tastefully decorated and food delicious. Had goats cheese starter, perfectly warm, followed by venison served pink with roasted veg, absolutely delicious, hubby had sea bass which was really fresh. Wine lovely, staff friendly, so worth 500 m walk off the main front. Small menu but perfectly executed. Thank you for delicious meal.

8 Smith St, DartmouthGreat location, central to Dartmouth, but off the touristy footpath… so it’s more genuine… and clearly been a pub for… a few (or more) hundred years.
Low ceiling, timber frame, friendly staff, great local beers, and amazing food.
Highly recommend the mussels… they were soft, tender and beautiful, in a lovely white wine and cream sauce, with shallots and samphire (I think… I’m not the chef, but that’s my best guess).
Highly recommended.

Church Rd, Stoke Fleming, DartmouthAnother fantastic evening at The Green Dragon! The food, service, and atmosphere are consistently excellent, and everyone receives a warm, friendly welcome—including those of us with dogs. I highly recommend this local gem to anyone.
I’ve noticed a recent review complaining about dogs in the bar, but in my experience, all dogs are well-behaved and kept on leads. We visit often when on holiday, and it’s always a pleasure. The Green Dragon truly is a special spot!

Was slightly maxed out from Fish and Chips over our trip- an Asian cafe , fresh food and a changing menu! My partner had the egg fried chicken rice, I had the pork baguette - heaven! Kudos to the special Malaysian spice sambal sauce too - make sure you ask for it! Jenny came round to personally ask us how we enjoyed the food , a lovely touch. Also make sure you try their cakes!

13 Higher St, DartmouthWhat an amazing pub! Dating back to 1380! Alits a must see. Landlady behind the bar was really pleasant and chatty. We also eat here and had the chicken Cajun burger. It was really nice! Proper chargrill flavour with salsa dip. Sooo nice! ? Great selection of cask ales, ciders (inc. Rattler) and lager. Would definitely recommend a visit! Really nice vibe! Lower St, DartmouthSo me my mum and little boy visited today. We sat down in this very nice cafe. The staff were delightful and very polite. We ordered lovely food which came very nicely Presented. My little boy then proceeded to be sick which wasn’t a shock because we didn’t think he was quite right in the morning. The staff were amazing they helped us clean up and helping my boy change his clothes. They never once made us feel guilty! Amazing place, amazing staff and amazing food!
Ps this was not food poisoning.It was a sick bug!

Had the Traditional Cornish Pasty and, likely, the best I've had. Perfect proportion of swede, onion, and beef. The Cinnamon bun was also perfect, juicy yet crunchy on the outside. 10/10 on food.
They source coffee from Union, which are a very good roaster, albeit a bit on the darker side. Had a flat white and, again, perfectly delivered. Very quick service, too.
